Start with the surface: the substrate, the cleanliness level the specification requires, and the anchor profile the coating manufacturer's technical data sheet calls for. Then match hardness, particle shape, size and density to your equipment and jobsite. Our team can help you compare options, and our blog post "How To Choose The Right Abrasive For Your Surface Preparation Project" explains the process in detail.
We offer dry bulk, bulk bag, and 50# bag delivery utilizing our own company-owned fleet.
Check nozzle size and wear, available air pressure and volume (CFM), metering valve settings, hose length and configuration, and your dust collection or recovery equipment. A change in media often means a change in setup, so run a controlled trial on the same surface and compare square feet cleaned per hour, consumption, cleanliness, profile, dust and cost per square foot.
Not always. A higher-priced abrasive can lower total project cost if it cleans faster, uses less abrasive per square foot, reduces labor hours, or produces less dust and waste. Cost per square foot cleaned is usually a better comparison than price per ton.
Yes. We recommend products based on your substrate, specification, equipment and jobsite, and on measurable performance rather than price alone. Contact us to discuss your application.
Our featured products are abrade away copper slag, industrial silica sand, and Blastrite® Platinum Grit. We are also able to supply alox, crushed glass, glass beads, steel shot, and steel grit.
